Join Claire Dambawinna, our experienced Ashtanga practitioner and teacher, for this FREE Introduction to Ashtanga.
Who is this class for
If you’re curious about Ashtanga but don’t yet feel ready or confident to join an All Levels class, then this class is for you. This class is perfect for those who have a little yoga experience (so maybe you’ve completed our beginners course or you’ve done a few classes already) and who are interested in trying a slightly stronger, slightly faster paced class.
What to expect
Claire will guide you through the first part of the Ashtanga Primary series including sun salutations, standing poses, the first few seated poses and vinyasas.
She’ll also introduce you to the breathing technique used in Ashtanga, the opening mantra and Sanskrit count for the sun salutations. There’ll be an opportunity at the end to ask Claire any questions you might have about the practice.
After this class you will know what to expect from an All Levels Ashtanga class and hopefully ready to join in!
