Yoga Kula LIVE // Ashtanga Level 2
Saturday 9.15am - 10.45am
// With Claire Dambawinna //
Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic set series of postures designed to build strength, flexibility, endurance and focus.
In this 90 minute session participants will be guided through the Ashtanga Primary Series, you should be confident with the full Ashtanga primary sequence postures before you try this class.
During the class you will be given both verbal and hands-on adjustments designed to help you access the postures on a deeper level. (Should you prefer not to receive physical adjustments please inform the teacher at the start of the class.)
Those who wish to find a real sense of deep strength in the body whilst remaining steady in the mind will enjoy this approach to yoga. Once the series becomes more familiar, the body stronger and more flexible, participants will begin to feel a sense of rhythm and smoothness in the practice. The breath is key (as with other styles) so participants will be taught how to surround the practice with breath to fuel the sequence and calm a busy mind. Sessions will end with adequate time for relaxation.
