A Woman's Place?
20 Jan 2018 - 31 Dec 2018
On the centenary of some women first getting the vote, A Woman’s Place? looks at the struggles and progress of women in achieving equality and recognition.
The exhibition features stories and objects from strong pioneering women such as Leonora Cohen and Nicola Adams, from 1860 to the present day. Discover how everyday life has changed for women in the home, school and workplace.
We hope to inspire women and girls to believe that their ambitions and achievements are not limited by their gender.
A programme of related women's history talks and study days will be ongoing throughout the year. You'll find them all listed on Leeds Inspired.
Please check times with event organiser for any last minute changes.
The exhibition is free with admission to Abbey House Museum (see the museum website for full price listings). Concessions available.
Induction loop, minicom and lift access are all available. Toilets including disabled facilities available.
- Family friendly
