Leeds Town Hall

The Headrow, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 3AD

The War on Waste exhibition uses Second World War publicity techniques to draw attention to the environmental challenges facing us today. The wartime public was encouraged to see recycling — then called 'salvage' — as a contribution towards victory. This exhibition shows how similar techniques can be used to inspire change in the present. It is inspired by research on wartime recycling carried out by the historian Dr Henry Irving and was produced by a group of BA Graphic Design students at Leeds Beckett University.

Wheelchair Access

There is full wheelchair access to Leeds Town Hall and wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities on all floors. A number of spaces in the seating area are reserved for wheelchair users.
