The ‘VISIBLE - 36point7’ display is about creating visibility to the 36.7million people living globally with HIV & AIDS.

Artist Stuart Langley (Curious Arts Ltd) has reimagined the World Aids Day ribbon, in a reaction to the now common place charity ribbons around. In questioning their now lack of effectivity and distinctness as a tool, Stuart has designed a neon light box, creating visibility to the cause. The touring 1.5m high x.5m wide light box with a large red neon ribbon and the number 36.7 in red neon in the bottom will be on display in the Leeds City Museum Window Bays in February 2019. This is part of our LGBT+ history month 2019 programme as there is a higher rate of HIV & AIDS diagnosis in LGBT and migrant communities.

Please note the museum is closed on Mondays.
