1st Floor The Spinning Mill, Sunnybank Mills, Paradise Street, Leeds, LS28 5UJ

Come and join Mari Hill for a morning of embroidery, tea and cake!

Working in a small group we'll create a valentines brooch working with simple but very effective and versatile stitches that can be used in all sorts of embroidery styles.

All materials will be provided, including diagrams and instructions to help you remember your stitches, and at the end of the session you will have your beautiful gift to take away with you. Don’t worry if you haven’t quite finished it – you can take materials away with you to complete the hoop at home.

Tea, coffee and cake provided too.

About Mari...
I’ve always loved embroidery, since my Granny taught me the basics a long time ago. It sparked a long term obsession with textiles, surface pattern and textures, all the way to a textile degree specialising in embroidery, painting in textures, personalizing, adding structure and colour to cloth.

Having worked in the creative industry for almost 20 years, I currently volunteer and work at Scrap Creative Reuse and create my own embroidered accessories – and hopefully will be passing some of those skills on too!
