Online Event - Paint Monet for Mother's Day
PopUp Painting invites you to sip and paint from home with…
If you've been feeling low throughout lockdown, fancy trying a new craft to support your wellbeing and mental health or just need some headspace to relax and get creative then this group is for you.
An informal craft group and a creative, welcoming and inspiring space for you to work on your own craft projects, try new crafts and share skills and ideas with like-minded people. You'll have the opportunity to discuss what you might like to learn and we will support you along the way. We will also have some activities and tools available for you to try at your own pace. You don't need any previous experience to attend, everyone is welcome.
Now that this workshop is online, we just made it slightly more structured in terms of content. The theme for the group to get us started is craft projects that use up your yarn scraps and odds and ends so we will be showing you some nifty tricks, mini makes and tools you can make from things at home.
The Stitch-Up Community Hub focuses on craft and wellbeing groups and courses for adults and a holistic approach to helping improve everyday wellbeing, strengthen support networks, reduce loneliness and isolation and promote positive mental health through creativity and connection. Partly funded by Leeds City Council through Leeds Community Foundation.
Stitch-Up CIC is a social enterprise and any profits we make are reinvested straight back into delivering our creative community projects supporting people to learn new craft skills and improve wellbeing.
