Short Course for Adults: Making Art in the Gallery

East Street Arts delivers an adult learning programme and offers a series of short creative courses throughout the year.
This course offers the opportunity to create artwork within a fantastic and interesting venue. Take inspiration from your surroundings and ultimately exhibit your work in the Leeds Art Gallery education area.
Level: beginners and those with some previous experience
Wednesday 16 January - Wednesday 27 March 2019
No session on Wednesday 20 February 2019
Wednesday 17 April - Wednesday 26 June 2019
No session on Wednesday 29 May 2019
On this course, you’ll:
• experiment with materials, including acrylics, pastels and inks,
• make drawings in the gallery space,
• make work inspired by the Leeds Art Gallery collection,
• use techniques and materials used by the artists,
• complete a finished piece and exhibit your work in the gallery’s education area.
The courses are open to adults aged 19 and above and adults with disabilities aged 25 and above. All of the courses last 10 weeks.
