Come and join us at Interplay Theatre in Armley for a special screening of 'The Selfish Giant'.

Clio Barnard’s 'The Selfish Giant', inspired by Oscar Wilde’s short story of the same name, is a realist tale about friendship and community. Set on the outskirts of Bradford, 13-year old Arbor (Conner Chapman) and his best mate Swifty (Shaun Thomas) start working for local dealer Kitten (Sean Gilder), collecting scrap metal. Through his exploitative and duplicitous manner, he drives a wedge between the two teens. With Arbor feeling hurt and excluded, the story takes a tragic turn…

This screening is part of Scalarama Film Festival and Armley Festival.
