Fast-emerging British singer-songwriter and guitarist Rosie Frater-Taylor is widely regarded as a virtuoso guitarist and a vocalist with a powerful emotional range and depth.

Her 2021’s self-produced album ‘Bloom’ garnered in excess of 3 million streams, was nominated at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards and made revered US radio station KCRW’s Albums Of The Year list. She played over 60 shows across Europe with her trio in 2022 before heading into the studio to write her new album, capturing the band’s energy and chemistry.

Drawing influence from the likes of PJ Harvey, through Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, to the rockier roster - where John Mayer, Meshell Ndegeocello, St Vincent and Madison Cunningham hold court - Frater-Taylor’s upcoming album ‘Featherweight’ will be released on Cooking Vinyl in Feb 2024. The record marks a stylistic shift, deftly blurring the boundaries between rock, alt pop, neo soul, new-school jazz and folk whilst tackling an array of themes including self-reflection, vulnerability and anger. After a fantastic debut show in Leeds in autumn 2021 on the "Bloom" tour, it's great to finally get her and the band back to the city in 2024 to promote the new "Featherweight" album.

Support comes from Eve Buckley, Leeds folk/soul/jazz/soft rock singer and guitarist with her band plus a bag full of original material. She brings a rich and authentic hybrid of soul, soft rock and jazz influenced styles reminiscent of artists such as Lianne La Havas, Paolo Nutini and Jordan Rakei. With such a distinctive voice she is able to captivate any room, leaving her audience mesmerised through her stunning lyricism and storytelling of her journey from adolescence to adulthood. With the Leeds nu-folk/soft rock/alt-soul fusion scene buzzing right now with singers like Kindelan/Rosie Miles/Sunday Lendis/Amy Clark, here's a new and exciting young emerging artist following in their footsteps. Get down early (8pm) to catch her at the start of her musical journey.
