Rob Rouse : Funny In Real Life
18 Jul 2019 7pm
After last year’s hugely successful run of their debut play THE LADDER, real-life married couple Rob Rouse (‘Bottom’ Upstart Crow, BBC; 8 Out of 10 Cats, Channel 4) and Helen Rutter (Holby City, Coronation Street) have created a hilarious new show.
They're taking it to the famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe over August, but this is a EXCLUSIVE opportunity to see it in Farsley, Leeds before they head on up.
A stand up comedian sees his world fall apart when his wife decides he can no longer mention her onstage. Should anything be off-limits in the realm of confessional comedy? Is it OK to overshare with an audience of complete strangers? How would you feel if your life was turned into a joke?
PRAISE FOR ROB:
“He’s a man with genuinely funny bones” THE SUNDAY TIMES
“Rob Rouse is a born clown, a latter-day Stan Laurel” TIME OUT
“The tears of laughter came in floods… he is a great storyteller” THE SCOTSMAN
“Bursting with originality, energy and enthusiasm, Rob Rouse is a delirious but hilarious man” THE LIST
