Leeds Dock

(near Royal Armouries), Leeds, LS10 1LT

Complementing the spectacular installation, Voyage, two Buddhist groups from Leeds share their practices on the canalside. Wat Buddharam will invite you to join them in Krathong making for the Thai Buddhist Loy Krathong festival, which marks the end of Buddhist lent and is a beautiful celebration of light involving displays on lakes and rivers. On Light Night you can participate in the festivities by making and launching your own illuminated flower boat, helping to create an evolving and eye-catching spectacle across the water. Jamyang Buddhist Centre will also be illuminating the canal side with an exquisite Light Offering, which you can watch while enjoying some peaceful contemplation in amongst the bustle of the city.
