Would you like to learn a new creative skill?
Make connections with other people?
And, are you between age 16-25 or 50+?

We’re  looking for 100 people from two generations to come together (via zoom, email, phone or post), to forge new connections.

We’re creating a company of people from across the Leeds city region, fusing the creative energy and experience of those younger and older.  It’s never easy to make connections, but so much creativity and hope can spring from meeting different people and having new experiences. Together we will harness our creative energy to create a multi-media tapestry which will be displayed outside the Playhouse this Spring to remind the people of Leeds why there are still reasons to be hopeful.

So, if you are interested in creativity, and are between the ages of 16-25 or over the age of 50, we welcome you to take part for free. You do not need to have any creative experience (or an internet connection!) to take part.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Ten Leeds artists will be running workshops from March. In groups of 10 you will work with one artist to contribute to Leeds’ Reasons To Be Hopeful multi-media tapestry.

There are a range of workshops for you to take part in: textile, painting, song writing, drama, creative writing, sign making and more.

When you sign up, we will send you an email asking you about what types of workshops you would prefer and how you would like to take part in the workshops.

Sign up on the Playhosue website and ensure you select the appropriate age group.
