PT-AI 2017 Philosophy and Theory of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is set to change the world - as well as the way we see ourselves and the world. The conference will deal with fundamental issues of present and future artificial intelligence: Basic Concepts, Ethics, Approaches & Methods, and Challenges.
We will have 35 selected papers and 20 posters from around the world. The invited speakers are: José Hernández-Orallo (University of Valencia/LCFI Cambridge), David C. Hogg (University of Leeds), Thomas Metzinger (University of Mainz), Peter Millican (University of Oxford), Susan Schneider (University of Connecticut/Princeton IAS), Mark Sprevak (University of Edinburgh), Yi Zeng (Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing).

There are 4 types of registration, depending on what people can afford (A=£180, B=£100, C=£120, or D=£60). After selecting the options on the registration page you are directed to the University of Leeds "shop" site to pay and complete the registration. Registration covers your coffee breaks & lunches - and general costs of the event, like room rental, equipment, invited speakers travel & accomodation, etc. This is how the event can be financed without a substantial loss or profit. The organisers do not get paid. Any surplus will be used for future conferences. The Dinner is is on Saturday evening on location. You can now book the conference dinner separately here. It is a 3 course dinner with wine at 40GBP.
