Professor of Lieder at the Royal Academy of Music, and Leeds Lieder Patron, Richard Stokes: there’s no one better to give the first of this year’s pre-concert talks. Mahler’s Rückert Lieder stand as some of the greatest achievements in the song repertoire. Richard will introduce these masterpieces and illuminate the opening recital of the Festival.
