Who are Curious School of Puppetry?
CSP provide hands-on puppetry training from leading practitioners. We aim to push boundaries,
develop excellence, and nurture the growing UK puppetry community.
This workshop will be led by puppeteer Jummy, and poet Zahrah Sheikh. Jummy trained in puppetry at Little Angel Theatre and CSP. She is artistic director of Jumble Abode Theatre and co-founder of the POC in Puppetry Network UK – cultivating spaces for POC to explore and embrace puppetry. As a workshop facilitator she works intuitively alongside artists and communities to nurture creativity, uncover new stories and play!
Zahrah Sheikh is a British Pakistani poet from Ilford. She is a Barbican Young Poet Alumnus and a member of the BBC Words First 2020 cohort. Her writing mainly explores prayer, the self, the weight of an action and silence.
