An exhibition of original bank note designs questions the true value of currency in 2016

In the age of Apple Pay, Bitcoin, contactless, Paypal and other options for the exchange of funds, what does the future hold for physical currency?

Students on Leeds College of Art's BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree course have addressed this question and - in conjunction with first direct - have interrogated physical currency in a project that has culminated in over 100 original proposals for new bank notes. Each design has been produced using analogue print methods. But despite being created in traditional ways, the collected work explores a number of ideas relating to our modern day relationships with money.

*Closed Saturday and Sunday*
