Maridyah Mehmood 'Folds of Nature'
28 Jun 2019 - 13 Jul 2019
28th June Public Exhibition Opening- Everyone's welcome, including your dog!
This exhibition is an exploration of geometry within the Islamic tradition using handmade pigments sourced from the natural world. Using ruler and compass, these complex geometric patterns emerge from the symbol of unity, the circle, which gives birth to the infinite possibilities seen in Islamic art and architecture.
28th June is our opening celebration.
6th July our cafe is open for our family friendly openning.
We will also be open Mondays and Friday for casual viewings.
This exhibition is part of a program funded by Leeds Inspired.
