Linocut Greetings Cards Online Workshop
11 Jun 2021 - 23 Jun 2021
Join us from the comfort of your own home to learn the basics of linocut.
On this short online workshop you’ll learn how to use the tools to carve your own lino block and produce a small edition of prints onto plain A6 greeting cards. You’ll learn some simple but effective methods of lino printing that can be continued at home without the need for a press.
Who is the workshop for?
This is ideal for beginners in printmaking or those who wish to refresh their previous skills and gain some new inspiration.
Materials & Equipment
The workshop fee includes a full lino printing kit containing all the equipment and materials you will need for the workshop which will be posted out to you shortly before the workshop date (postage is UK only, although international students may attend if they acquire the kit themselves). The materials kit will contain a roller, lino cutting tools, perspex sheet for inking, blank A6 cards, cartridge paper, 1 tube black water based relief ink, 2 x A6 softcut lino, pencil and disposable gloves.
Our online workshops will be delivered by one of our experienced printmaking tutors over Zoom so you’ll need to have internet access on a computer and a suitable space to work with the cutting tools and inks.
The booking deadline is no less than 1 week before the workshop date to allow time for us to send out the materials kits.
If you have any questions about accessing the workshop please get in touch by emailing email@example.com.
This online workshop is supported with National Lottery Project Funding from Arts Council England.
During this period of social distancing and lockdown due to Coronavirus we advise that you check directly with the organiser of this event that it is going ahead as publicised.
