Online Event

Leeds Libraries want to make sure we stay connected to our community. This series of talks is perfect for people who want to find out more, get into tech and those who want to become the creators of digital. No skills or experience necessary.

This week we welcome Colin Cripps from BJSS

The advancement of AI, Machine Learning and Covid-19 prevention measures are just some of the current topics raising lots of ethical questions around the impact technology and design has on society.

In this talk, using a bit of philosophy and lots of examples, we’ll explore how as Technologists and Designers we tackle this conundrum and manage the potential for technology to have an ethical impact.

Roles in tech come with a responsibility to be aware of the affect our products and our design choices have on Users; it’s time we spoke about it more.
