Leeds in Conversation - Celebrating 200 Years of Leeds Museums and Galleries (Series 2, Episode 5)
Leeds in Conversation is back! Series 2 of the city’s dedicated podcast is in full swing, with episode 5 launching on Monday 2 August.
In this episode, Eve Roodhouse (Chief Officer of Culture & Economy, Leeds City Council) is joined by David Hopes (Head of Leeds Museums and Galleries), Catherine Robins (Project Curator, 200th year anniversary) and Rathi Tamilselvan (Volunteer at Leeds Museums and Galleries).
Together, they discuss the 200-year anniversary exhibition (going live in September 2021) and the experience of developing the project during the challenges of a pandemic. They also talk about the work ongoing to identify and decolonise their collections across the museums and the award they won for closing the Covid gap in education.
The podcast gives you the unique chance to listen in to conversations between people responsible for shaping how the city grows and develops over the coming months and years. We bring together diverse voices from across the city and put our Leeds communities at the heart of the conversation.
It’s available across all major audio platforms including Spotify, Google Podcasts and iTunes – just search ‘Leeds in Conversation’.
