Leeds Armed Forces Day
29 Jun 2019 11am - 4pm
Armed Forces Day in the United Kingdom is now marked by hundreds of events held across the country, celebrating the courage and contribution of the British Armed Forces community: From veterans to currently serving troops, reserves, cadets and service families.
Hosted by our Lord Mayor, Leeds will be celebrating with a FREE event on Briggate in the city centre, from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 29 June 2019.
Lots of attractions, with something to interest all ages:
• A huge range of FREE family-friendly activities, including a climbing wall, arts, crafts, and much more.
• An array of displays, military equipment, armed forces-related stalls and a full-sized replica Spitfire.
• Stalls with information about welfare, education and services for serving personnel, veterans and their families.
• The opportunity to speak with people from a range of military charities and veterans groups, and to hear their inspiring stories.
… and a full programme of entertainment
