Laughter and play are powerful well-being activities for the body and mind.
In this workshop I will take you on an exploration of laughter where you will discover ways to play with it, embrace it and see what is there when you open yourself up to being more playful. It's a wonderful invitation to cultivate your own innate sense of joy.
Laughter changes our body chemistry and mindset. It’s energising yet relaxing and a wonderful way to relieve stress, release stuck emotions and bring clarity to the mind.
This is what science tells us:
Laughter reduces the stress hormone – cortisol and increases production of the beneficial hormones of endorphins, dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin. It can lower blood pressure, relieve pain, boost our immune system, massage internal organs, oxygenise blood and all major organs giving us a great energy boost. It can lift depression, help us to diffuse painful emotions, bond with others and really lift our mood.
When you laugh deeply with someone you create a deep connection with them – a connection that words cannot explain. You laugh heart to heart, soul to soul. You become family.
