Killer Leeds Book Launch Party. You are invited to celebrate the publication of The Disappeared by Ali Harper & Keep Your Friends Close by June Taylor.

Killer Reads

The Disappeared introduces No Stone Unturned, a Missing Persons’ Bureau set in the Hyde Park area of Leeds. Described as feminist crime fiction, it has been optioned for TV by Yorkshire based Duck Soup Films.

Keep Your Friends Close is June’s second psychological thriller. When Karin is taken on a romantic break by her loving partner Aaron, she can’t wait for him to propose. But her surprise weekend quickly becomes a nightmare from which she may never escape.

Both books are published by HarperCollins Killer Reads.

Killer Queens

Ali Harper lives in Leeds, where she is currently working on her next book, The Invisible. She works as a creative writing mentor and unpaid butler to two teenagers.

June Taylor was a TV promotions writer and producer for many years before turning to writing plays and fiction. She’s active in the local writing scene, on the Board of Script Yorkshire and a Leeds Big Bookend volunteer. Her debut, Losing Juliet, was nominated for the Not the Booker Prize in 2017. June was born and bred in Leeds where she still lives.

Bradford’s queen of crime, Liz Mistry, will host the short Q&A.
