A seven week course.

An introduction to the jewellery workshop for people new to jewellery making, or with some experience. You will learn lots of basic techniques including forming, cutting and soldering metal, which you will then be able to use to make some beautiful jewellery of your own. During this term we will concentrate on ring and earring making.

By the end of the course I will have learned:

Marking and cutting metal, shaping and forming metal, learning how to size a ring, silver soldering, adding texture to metal and polishing.

Do I need any skills, experience or qualifications before I join the course?

No prior skills or experience needed

What materials will I need for the course?

Students will be able to use the equipment in the workshop and will also be able to purchase materials for their projects from the centre.

What activities will I take part in and how will my course be structured?

Designing and making rings and earrings.
