Steve Hart has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the various traditions in Leeds. He offers insights as to particular aspects of practices within the Leeds setting.

About the facilitator:
Steve is a dharma holder and steward in the Zen Peacemakers - a European and American socially engaged network of Zen practitioners and has taught mindfulness in spiritual and secular contexts since the 1990s and has been practising mindfulness since 1987 and contemplative practise since 1982. He is the founder and organiser for Leeds Mindfulness & Positive Emotion Enhancement Centre. Steve is unusual in that he has feet in both secular and spiritually rooted mindfulness practise and can share either with depth and stemming from daily practises for decades. Steve has many years experience in working in teaching mindfulness in peer support environments.

The visitor centre is fully accessible and so are most of the grounds. Please note that Kirkstall Abbey is a heritage site and some areas of the grounds are cobbled and/or uneven.
