It’s 1969! Join Honey and daughter Barbara in their living room for cheese and pineapple and fabulous retro fun with a twist.

Suburban housewife Honey Childs welcomes you with cheese and pineapple, party games and her favourite easy listening LPs as she embarks on a serious mission: to bring about world peace. With your help (and some home truths from her daughter Barbara) will Honey be able to make a difference? Decide if you’re Hip, Square or Way Out There in this heartwarming, funny, delightfully interactive show.

Written and performed by Fiona Coffey, with Rhiannon Vivian as Barbara, directed by Oliver Senton.

What audiences say:

“What a wonderful party that was. Put me right back into the 60s. An hour full of laughter and audience participation”.

“A beautiful Happening that made me snort-laugh, cry and think, sometimes all at once”

“This was the most brilliant, profound, funny, celebratory mother and daughter time travelling thing! Anything that can mke me and my 15 year old dance and laugh like drains together is well worth the ticket price”

About The Holbeck

The Holbeck is a community club that welcomes everyone, run by Slung Low.

This show is “Pay What You Decide” - you decide how much to pay after you have taken part.

The show has a limited capacity, so if you change your mind before the event, please let us know by emailing boxoffice@slunglow.org to ensure we don’t turn others away unnecessarily.
Please note that the venue is cash only.

Please note that the event takes place up one set of stairs. There is a new stairlift on our main staircase. We have recently taken over the running of the venue and are currently raising funds for a lift to make the theatre fully accessible later this year.

If you would like to discuss your access requirements, don’t hesitate to give us a call on 0113 2260808.

We have recently installed a new lockable bike shed next to the front door as well and you can get the code for the door from a member of Slung Low.
There’s a free car park at the club. The street immediately around the club is permit-holders only but there’s permit free parking on Holbeck Moor Road, which is the road that runs alongside the park just down the road.
