Dates and times

23 Jul 2021 - 31 Dec 2022

Welcome to the Hiding in Plain Sight: Leeds City Centre Cinema Audio Tour, presented by the Hyde Park Picture House, as part of our heritage lottery funded engagement project.

During the walking tour you will be guided around the city centre, where we’ll visit sites of our historic cinemas, learn about Leeds cinematic heritage, and discover the physical traces that can still be found, hiding in plain sight…

The tour is completely free and starts at the Leeds Train Station on City Square. It will take roughly 1 ½ - 2 hours (1.5 miles) and is at ground level throughout. You will need a mobile device and data connection to access the tour website.

To start your tour visit our Hiding in Plain Sight Walking Tour website and follow the instructions.

To find out more about the Hiding in Plain Sight project, please visit our Hiding in Plain Sight website, where you can discover the other lost cinemas of Leeds, see images and upload your own cinema-going memories.

We hope you enjoy the tour!

This audio tour and the Hiding in Plain Sight website is funded & supported by Leeds Inspired & Heritage Lottery.
