During the workshops you will learn how to create and…
It's "Film Friday" with Ascendance!
Over the next few Fridays Ascendance will be live streaming a series of short R&D films and documentaries created during 2020 to celebrate the great cities of Leeds and Bradford where we live, work and create.
The first one of the series will be a short R&D film by Devon Armstrong Films shot by the River Wharf in Rodley, Leeds during the last hot day in September 2020.
As part of the project our dancers emerged from lockdown 1 and joined the newly formed technical team in a series of outdoor spaces, experimenting with dance, music, film and photography. In each location we explored personal relationships and feelings conjured up in our new found environments, with a sense of wonder, bewilderment and appreciation for the earth beneath our feet.
Choreography Rachel Wesson & Dancers: Emma Clayton, Izzy Brittain, Caroline Leung & Kathryn Spence.
Music Tick of the Clock, Chromatics
