Daniel Trilling is an editor of New Humanist magazine and writes for publications including the Guardian London Review of Books and New York Times. He spent over five years reporting on the experiences of people who come to Europe in search of asylum and his book, Lights in the Distance. Exile and Refuge at the Borders of Europe. (Picados, 2018) is a portrait of the refugee crisis as seen by those who experience first hand.
