This is an advanced sewing course therefore students need to have completed either a Step Up Dressmaking course or have equivalent sewing skills to work independently.
You will advance your skills further such as pattern design changes and adjustments to existing commercial patterns, this could be changed in the sleeve silhouette or changing a neckline shape with embellishment experimentations.
You will also develop a deeper understanding of sewing skills and apply them in your personal projects. You will acquire advanced skills such as fabric manipulation by understanding various types of properties that fabrics can have and suitable choices for design.
This course aims to improve students' health and well being and build confidence.
