We are very pleased to welcome the fabulous Colour of Light to Chapel FM, ably supported by Rory Holl
Colour of Light are an exciting contemporary ensemble who blend folk, blues, bluegrass and classical influences into their own unique sound. Compromising voices, guitar, banjo, double bass and harmonica they have entertained and captivated audiences with their line up of award-winning musicians.
Their regular performances include a range of venues such as Otley Folk Festival, Saltaire Festival, Wharf Chambers & The Grove in Leeds and Upstairs at Monks in Beverley. Their finely crafted original songs delivered by three diverse singer songwriters, combine protest, reflection and celebration.
As individuals these musicians have performed at Glastonbury and Latitude Festivals, have been played on BBC 6 Music, Radio 3 and 4 and have over 800,000 Spotify plays. As a band they gathered around the vibrant Leeds live music scene. This exciting five piece are guaranteed to inspire and engage with their honest storytelling, joyful performance and first-class musicianship.
Rory Holl has been playing on the Leeds scene and beyond for just about 15 years in various bands and guises. His music has been described as having roots in Rock, Pop, Folk, Funk, Blues and Prog. 5 EP's and 1 Album in, Rory has built up quite a back catalogue of songs and his shows are delivered with a big acoustic sound and a big dose of Yorkshire humour.
