Bramhope Tunnel: Conquering the Ridge

The aim: to build a train line connecting Leeds to Thirsk. The dilemma: how to conquer the insurmountable Airedale and Wharfedale ridge. The solution: a tunnel under the village of Bramhope. Join Librarian Louise Birch to hear the creation of the tunnel and the stories of the 24 men who died during its construction.

Free but booking required - attendees will receive an email prior to the session with more details and a link for accessing the workshop online. Please leave your email address when registering, or we will not be able to send you those instructions.
