Local and Family History, Leeds Central Library

Calverley Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 3AB

Have you ever wanted to know the history of your house? Have you ever wondered what your local area was like one hundred years ago? Local historian James Rhodes and the Local and Family History Department are offering the chance for children and teenagers aged 9 – 14 to use our exciting Leeds Central Library resources to come and research the history of their house and area. You can then use this information to create a Blue Plaque specifically for your house.

This workshop is open to children and teenagers aged 9 - 14 to be accompanied with an adult.
