Where 2014’s Frank spoke poetically to the spirit of Chris Sievey, Being Frank is a meticulously researched labour of love, a must-see for fans of Frank Sidebottom, the Manchester comedian and musician who donned a huge papier-mâché head to perform. Featuring a wide range of materials including Sievey’s personal collection of notebooks, videotapes, and music – combined with interviews from his closest friends and family, Being Frank seeks to finally answer the question – who was Chris Sievey, the man who managed to keep his identity secret for over 25 years?
