UK Wool Week

This year UK Wool Week has been extended and runs from 7th - 22nd October.
At the Industrial Museum we have loads going on over the fortnight.
Tours of the Textile Gallery - join our knowledgeable guide as he leads you through the history of the woollen industry, looking at machinery and processes with a few anecdotes thrown in. At 2pm on the 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th and 19th.
Armley Mills Close Knit Friends - our knit and natter group meet every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm and are always looking for new friends to join them. So if you are into knitting or crochet and want to join some fellow crafters then please pop by and join them, any ability welcome.
Family friendly knitting, if you want to come down and join our knitters on Saturday 14th we are running fun knitting and craft activities for kids from 1 to 3pm so you can bring the kids along too.
The Spinners of Aire will be meeting at the museum on Wednesdays the 11th and 18th from 10.30am to 2pm. They are more than happy to demonstrate spinning and answer any questions you may have.
We'll be showing a special matinee Knitting Pretty on Tuesdays 10th and 17th and Thursdays 12th and 19th at 2pm.
Interwoven Histories, an exhibition co-curated by Pavilion, makes visible the stories and experiences particular to migrant workers in Leeds and their contribution to industry and culture.” Opening on 14th October.
