Armley Mills Leeds Industrial Museum

Canal Road, Armley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS12 2QF

While Leeds Art Gallery is closed for renovation we will be hosting their rarely seen film collection in the wonderful cinema at Leeds Industrial Museum - along with artist led workshops that are designed to get everyone making and talking (and drinking tea and eating cake!)

The third screening of the programme is ‘Threshold to the Kingdom’ (2000) by artist Mark Wallinger. The film shows people arriving into London City Airport, we don’t know who they are or where they are from but the film shows us how many potential stories there are coming in through the doors of the airport. After the screening we'll invite you all to a print workshop where we can talk about our thoughts and responses to the film whilst printing messages to the people of Leeds. This will be a very relaxed workshop so if print isn't your thing you don't have to take part, and we won't insist that you have an opinion about the film either!
