The fascinating story of the queen of polka dots, Yayoi Kusama, one of the most popular artists in the world today.
Born into a conservative family in rural Japan, the film traces Kusama’s trajectory as she heads to America after the Second World War. There, without connections and speaking only borken English, she battles sexism and racism in the pursuit of her one true love, making art.
