Humans of Leeds Photography Exhibition "Now Then"
5 Feb 2018 - 17 Feb 2018
Humans of Leeds, in collaboration with Burmantofts Senior Action, presents: Now Then.
A photography exhibition featuring stories centered around the theme of Now and Then. The title plays on the well-known Yorkshire vernacular of ‘Now then’ which pairs the adverbs of opposed meaning; one indicating the present, and the other the past. Reflecting the memories of the past, and aspirations for the future.
The exhibition highlights the forgotten generation of older people, largely ignored by society and who now face a series of social issues such as loneliness, isolation and lack of independence. Rather than demoting these people to the sidelines of life, the exhibition celebrates their lives, their achievements and their contributions.
Supported by Arts@Trinity.
Funded by Leeds Inspired, part of Leeds City Council.
The exhibition will be open Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm. With an evening viewing on Monday 5th February 7pm-9pm
