For forty years Wheatfields Hospice has been providing care and support for people suffering from conditions such as cancer, heart failure and lung disease as they approach the end of their lives, through inpatient care and care in people's own homes as well as support for their families.

Peter Watson, who is based at Wheatfields, will speak about the hospice and its work, its place within the hospice movement and about Margaret Susan Cheshire, Baroness Ryder of Warsaw and Baroness Cheshire, better known as Sye Ryder, who was born in Leeds and was a founder of the hospice movement.
