The second of the Leeds Inspired / Leeds Film Festival poster commissions goes to Build, a design studio who recently re-located from London to Yorkshire. You'll find their work featured across an impressive list of publications and websites including Creative Review, Wired, Grafik and It's Nice That. Looking through Build's back catalogue of work it's impossible to ignore the bold shapes, eye popping colours and playful typography that feature in many of their projects.

Build was started when Creative Director Michael left Sheffield design mavericks The Designers Republic, to ‘start something new’, and was joined by Nicky Place a couple of years later. "We recently moved from London to the North to take advantage of the wonderful Yorkshire countryside, cold(er) weather and cheap(er) beer. And new opportunities, which there seem to be lots. We typically work with clients in the creative sector, or whose product or ethos is design-led. In other words, we work with clients to whom design matters."

Build is one of four artists and designers working with Leeds Inspired and Leeds International Film Festival to produce posters for LIFF's 30th anniversary later this year.
