Bruce Davies writes about BasementArtsProject's recent visit tp Stockholm Art Fair.The Stockholm Independent Art Fair 2012 (SAIF) represented, for BasementArtsProject at least, the culmination of 11 months of work towards extending the idea of what an arts project guided by artistic practice could be. Sarah Brown, Curator at Leeds Art Gallery, writes about installing Flash Back with artist Gary Hume. Gary Hume was with us for three days installing the exhibition but before he arrived we unpacked each work from its travelling frame and positioned it in the gallery before our conservator made a detailed condition report on each work. The exhibition is a combination of painting and sculpture by the artist and he was very involved in every decision of what was included and where it is placed in the gallery....
